Who's in to feed-in?HECO, MECO, and HELCO have begun accepting applications for Hawai‘i’s feed-in tariff. Interested parties with small-scale renewable energy systems that qualify as Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects can apply online at www.hecofitio.com. As of Nov. 29, there have been four applications submitted on Oahu, and five each on Maui and the Big Island, with a total of 3,118 kw of renewable power from local homes and businesses that will potentially feed back into the grid.
