HONOLULU (Nov. 30, 2020) – Blue Planet Foundation is pleased to announce Leigh Anne Mayberry has joined the team as its Communications Director. In her role, Mayberry will lead the non-profit’s communications strategy and implementation, working closely with partners, media, and stakeholders to share Blue Planet’s mission and impact for a 100% clean energy future.
“My heart has always been to motivate people to enjoy and better understand the environment so they will have a vested and active interest in protecting it” said Mayberry. “I am looking forward to working with the Blue Planet team and using my skillset to advance the vision for a clean energy future.”
Mayberry brings over a decade of experience in media, marketing, and public relations. She most recently worked at KHON2 News as a promotions producer, as well as serving as the executive producer of the local television show, “Modern Wahine Hawaii.” She is the co-owner of Mayberry Multimedia, creating digital and print products for a variety of clients. Previously, she produced video documentaries on nature, hiking, and travel for parks and preserves throughout Hawaii and beyond.

We are fortunate to have Leigh Anne’s many talents working toward creating a brighter future for Hawaii and the planet.”
Mayberry earned her bachelor of arts degree in environmental geography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is an avid hiker, photographer, and a three-time world champion in the martial art of Tang Soo Do.
