Writing letters to the editor is an effective way to share your passion for clean energy and highlight why we need a future that’s free from climate-damaging fossil fuels. The most effective letters are those that directly state a position or opinion on a timely topic that relates to recent or upcoming news and events. Sharing a personal story about how an issue impacts you or your community makes your letter unique.
The Star-Advertiser welcomes letters up to 150 words and guest columns of 500-600 words. Note that the Star-Advertiser reserves the right to edit letters for clarity and length. Be sure to avoid personal attacks, which will not be published. Letters must (a) be signed and include your area of residence and (b) include a daytime telephone number (not for publication).
