Francois implements and leads impactful community and education programs at Blue Planet. He’s been part of the Blue Planet Foundation team since the organization was founded in 2007. Since then, he’s managed multiple highly successful initiatives, including our Hui Up appliance exchange, a smart grid canvassing project, and the Student Energy Summit.
Before devoting his time to helping power the transition to clean energy, Francois spent sixteen years with one of the largest Japanese wholesale travel agencies, where he was directly involved in event management, educational programming, sales, and marketing. He also served as director of the Honolulu Festival for nearly a decade, managing the branding, logistics, marketing, budgeting, and organizational structure of the nonprofit entity.
Francois is a soccer fanatic, born in New York City, and raised in Japan and the Philippines.
“I love devoting my time to Blue Planet because it is dearest to my heart, and everything I do today is going to make a difference in my children’s lives.”
