In her current role, Kelsey supports the Clean Transportation Program at Blue Planet Foundation, focusing primarily on the Electric Vehicle (EV) Expert Certification Program and other clean transportation events and initiatives. This is Kelsey’s second internship with Blue Planet, having also worked on the “We Are 100” campaign, creating stories that highlight community members who have made contributions towards clean energy. In her free time, Kelsey can be found in the ocean — surfing or scuba diving.
Kelsey earned her Bachelorʻs Degree in Communications, a minor in Oceanography, and a certificate in Marine Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Kelsey previously wrote for the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s monthly magazine and newspaper, contributing over 30 articles. Kelsey has also volunteered with the Waikiki Aquarium as a school docent, educating multiple elementary school groups on ocean life and marine conservation. She also worked in UH’s media lab for a year, working behind-the-scenes on television broadcasts.
Kelsey is a major “Friends” fan, having seen every episode over 10 times.
