At Blue Planet, Lidia conducts research and implements programs to accelerate the electrification of transportation in Hawaii. Lidia graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies (Policy Concentration) and Spanish. Born and raised in New York City, Lidia is passionate about sustainable urban planning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and spatial data analysis.
Lidia was formerly an independent contractor at the New York Botanical Garden, where she created distribution maps of intertidal plant species in the Hudson River Estuary. In January 2016, Lidia traveled to Tanzania to conduct an independent mapping and planning study with the country’s largest coffee producer.
Lidia loves plants, especially orchids—it was only a matter of days before an orchid showed up on her desk at work.
