Griff leads Blue Planet’s education programs, student and teacher engagement, and youth outreach. He is committed to educating, empowering, and uplifting youth voices and is passionate about connecting with students, teachers, and organizations addressing one of the greatest threats to our generation: climate change.
Before Blue Planet
Griff graduated with a BA in Education from the University of Northern Iowa, where he also played collegiate athletics. An educator at his core, Griff taught in the public, private, and charter school systems for over 12 years and has been living in Hawaii since 2010.
Outside of work, Griff has worked on independent sustainability films like PBS’s web-series Under H2O and the Emmy Award-winning Netflix documentary Chasing Coral.
