As Interim Executive Director, Marie heads the overall organizational management, direction, and decision-making of Blue Planet’s work to champion scalable policies and programs that transform Hawaii’s energy systems to clean energy solutions.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Marie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Biology from Whitman College. She is Board Administrator for Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE).
Before Blue Planet
Marie was the Program Experience Manager at Elemental Excelerator, where she worked on strategic events, program design, and communications. Prior to Elemental, Marie was a Marketing and Outreach Fellow with ENGIE Services U.S., formerly OpTerra Energy Services, supporting their education and communication initiatives in Hawai‘i.
